Droitwich Spa, England August, 6th 2000 a six year old girl was telling her classmates that she was moving to America. Her name was Eleanor Fay Warner but everyone called her Elly. Elly’s dad was already in America looking for a house. Elly’s mom and her sister stayed at their grandparent’s house. Elly is the youngest out of 3 girls. Her oldest sister is called Kimberley Teresa Warner but goes by Kim. Then Kate Amy Warner is the middle child but she goes by Kate. Anyway Kim, Kate, and Elly were walking home after school and Elly Spotted a Hedgehog.
“Look, aw it’s cute.” Said Elly
“Yeah, I guess” Said Kim and Kate together
They continued to walk and only stopped when they got to their grandparents house. They walked in the door and hugged their grandma. What seemed like a week it was already October 5th at 8:30 at night and Kim Kate, and Elly were going up to bed. There mom and grandparents followed shortly after. Kate was woken up in the middle of the night by Elly crying. Kate climbed down from the top bunk and sat down at the end of Elly’s bed.
“What’s wrong Elz?” Kate asked
“I’m…going…to…miss…everyone…and… I’ll… never…see…them…again.” answered Elly in between sobs.
“You’ll see them again don’t worry. Here have this”
“But…this…is…your…frog…that…you…won…at…the…end…of…the…year…fair.” Elly said in between sobs again.
“Yeah, but you need it more then Me.” said Kate
“Thank you” said Elly
Then what seemed minutes later Kim, Kate, Elly, and their mom all got in their mom’s friend’s car. They drove away Elly crying holding the frog she decided to call it Froggy. Elly fell asleep on Kim’s and Kate’s laps. When it was lighter out Elly woke up and looked out the window and saw a big glass building in front of them. They parked the car, got out, and walked to the airport. They found their terminal and got on the plane. Their mom’s friend came with them they called her Aunty Wendy. After a long eight hour flight they were all boarding off the plane. They all walked down the walkway until Elly saw her dad then ran and jumped into his arms and hugged him. They all got in the van and drove to their new house. Around 5:00 p.m. they turned into a driveway. Elly rushed in the house and looked around. She found her room and fell straight on to the bed. Then Elly’s mom came up and found her.
“Come on time to unpack.” Said Elly’s mom
“Yes, mom.” Said Elly
They next day a girl named Patty knocked on the door.
“Hi, is Elly here?” she asked
“Yes, she is just upstairs.” Elly’s mom answered.
“Elly come down their is someone here to see you.” Elly’s mom said calling up the stairs.
“Be right there mom.” Said Elly
“Elly this is Patty.” Elly’s mom said.
“Hi” said Patty
“Hi” said Elly
Patty introduced her friends Leah and Brianna. Weeks passed and the four girls spent afternoons and week ends together. It’s now summer of 2002 and Elly’s family and Elly were on their way to Italy but they decide to stop in England and drive there. So they spent a night in a hotel with their friends Glyn and Hazel in England. When they woke up they had a long trip ahead of them. They crossed on a train under the English Channel. They drove from France to Italy. The day they reached Italy Elly turned eight it was 1:00 in the morning they stayed in a hotel to rest and decide to celebrate later. Elly opened her presents and ate cake outside by the pool. Elly and her sisters swam in the pool after cake. They left the hotel and drove far out into the countryside to find the villa they would be staying at. They stayed in Italy for two weeks then drove back to England and stayed there for a week. They got back to America and Elly’s mom and Dad got them two cats. That same year around the end of November a fire started in their family room caught on fire. Luckily they got out fast and called 911. The firefighters got there before the fire reached the stairs that led to the basement so the cats survived. They spent two months in a hotel and they got to bring the cats but took them back after a week because Kate had an asthma attack. After a while of being in the hotel they headed back to their newly furnished house. In March that year their next door neighbor’s wife died of cancer. We were very sorry for them and we paid our respects. The year after that we had to go back to England because our granddad had died. Its now 2009 and only Kim, Kate, and Elly’s dad have gone back to visit good old England. Kate has also been to Germany and so has Kim. Kim has also been to Australia twice. Elly and her mom and dad have been to Florida. They have all visited California. Elly has also been to New Mexico to visit Leah who moved there in 2006. Brianna moved to Rochester in 2004 and Elly hasn’t really seen her since. They have been up to Canada a lot and spent countless summers in Michigan. Patty still lives across from Elly but they don’t talk that much anymore. Elly has a new friend called Nikki and they are going to camp together this summer. Kate is back in Germany for a year and Kim is living at home and working at Meijer. Elly might be going up to Canada with her mom and dad after camp. Then she might do a play in the summer for MYT since she has done two already and will do another this March 2nd. Elly has been living in the same house for almost nine years now and still has both her cats and that is the end to Elly’s life for now.
